I went last devember and I stayed in hotel in kuta for 4 days and another 4 days in villa in seminyak area.
Kuta is very noisy and has alot of shops and malls. I didn't like their food most of time i used to eat pizza hut.
Seminyak is in the city center also has street with alot of cafes and restaurants
Regarding the activities: we did water rafting , elephant ride , water activities in nusa dua such as parasailing, banana boat and the best one is ocean walk. I also went to jimbaran to have a romantic dinner with sea view but unfortunately the weather was rainy and we stayed indoor and the seafood wasn't that good.
The best day was in potato head beach club it is an amazing place to spend the day
We also went for shopping in beach walk mall and discovery mall both located in kuta area

If you are looking for a good hotel you can choose either swiss belinn hotel in legian or holiday inn hotel kuta beach you can check them out on booking.com they were really good and stay away from a hotel called primera seminyak i had a really very bad experience there..also if you are interested in going to a night club then i would highly recommend sky garden in kuta its really the best choice in bali and the ticket price was about 150k ind. rubia
The best and cleanest part of the beach there is located in legian or seminyak and dont miss to rent a scooter for transportation you'll pay around 60k rubia per day ..the weather in general is hot and the humidity is a bit high so take this into consideration and dont take heavy clothes with you.. try also to bargain with the vendors whenever you are buying anything

Mountain named maunt batur .. u should go for it .. try the rafting its amazing .. waterbom .. elephants .. I stayed at the one legain it was near to everything but I didn't like the room it was too small.. I stayed also at Umah cincin villa with private pool it was amazing but very far from everything enjoy ur trip
