please be also informed that the EU Country competent for examining and deciding on a visa application is set out in Article 5 of the Visa Code. It shall be:
(a) the Member State whose territory constitutes the sole destination of the visit(s);
(b) if the visit includes more than one destination, the Member State whose territory constitutes the main destination of the visit(s) in terms of the length or purpose of stay; or
(c) if no main destination can be determined, the Member State whose external border the applicant intends to cross in order to first enter the Schengen Area.
Your first port of entry into the Schengen area does not need to be the country which issued you a Schengen visa, but you may be asked to show documentation proving your intention to travel to the country that issued the visa as your main destination.
Moreover, according to the Schengen Borders Code, when you enter the Schengen area, regardless of whether you are or are not the holder of a Schengen visa, the border authorities can always request to exhibit documents justifying the reasons for and the duration of your stay. In particular, return-trip booking or ticket or proof of available means of personal transport, proof of available lodging in that country (tourist vouchers, hotel booking, etc.), proof of economic means of support for the duration of the intended stay. When failing to produce such proofs, the traveller may legally be rejected at any external Schengen border.
