Yes dear , it's more safe & wonderful city , but also İstanbul is big capital city so it's should have mix of people's with mix cultures , so of course you can enjoy there but also have to take care
According to where and when, stay in the light and dont be late southside after 8 pm, also avoid bars and casinos and these areas keep your wallet covered in a waist belt under your clothes.
