In isteklal street, go withthe tram, you will find on the left house of darawish, old house and they perform also in some nights the dance, ask for the schedule
Walk until the end of isteklal on your right hand you will find galata tour, go in the morning, its a long queue, at night there is a mini restaurant infront of it dont miss it
If u continue till the descending part of istiklal as if u went to the70's you will find unique accessories
Go to sultan ahmet station, you will visit the blue mosque and haga sofia , then ask where is the basilica, its underground, dont miss it
Then go to sultan soliman mosque, visit this burial place and have a pic on the outside of the mosque with whole istanbul on the back
Dont miss topkapi palace and book theextra ticket for the hareem part
Before all that buy the gallery card as it will give you easy access and cheaper and u will not queue
Buy the istanbul card for the transportation metro/tram and i think bus but i never used it for bus, u will charge from any machine in all places
Get the audio guide when u visit the sites its worth it
Note on the side, the basilica is where tom hanks shot his movie inferno, last scene when the bomb was about to explode
Shop from itiklal if there is sale, there is 1 mango with underground level its like an outlet, the sell for major discounts , but check the pieces very well as some might have default
There is a restaurant called byazied in aksaray unfortunately i cant find the link to his page, its amazing, if i found the link i will update the comment
