Hello , I have an urgent question

I have applied for student visa to Belgium on 21/5 and ever since whenever I check it says ""still in process"" is it normal that it takes THAT long ? Is there anything to do to speed up the process? Knowing that I still have to book the dorm and plane ticket and all depend on visa

هو عدى شهرين بالنسبه لفيزا الدراسه مدى معقوله مش كتير و مش قليل يعنى
انتى ممكن تساليهم الاجراءات بتكون اد ايه
سفاره المانيا بتقول مثلا من 4 ل 8 اسابيع ده الطبيعى مثلا

I had a touristic and business visas from belgium embassy before, both took around 10 days. You better call the embassy directly between 12:00 and 13:00, if they confirmed its still under study, nothing you can do i believe

I applied for visa to Belgium since 29th of June, 2017, and I didn't get the visa so far. I sent email to the embassy ( Belgium embassy in Cairo) , they said that my file went to immigration ministry in Belgium and I have to wait for their decision pfff

هي فيزا الدراسة بتاخد وقت انا قدمت عليها فى سفارة سويسرا وكانوا قالوا لى هتاخد 3 شهور لكن ردوا عليا بعد 25 يوم واستلمتها خلال يومين عمل بعد موافقة الكانتون. فشهرين وتلاتة دى مدة مش طويلة خاصة فى الاقامة الطويلة، وبالتوفيق.

the Belgium embassy is always too late even for tourism ,they took my passport for more than a month and was usually "in process" on their website :( don't book anything until you get your passport ,as it is one of the most difficult embassies

I have a friend suffered from the unreasonable delay also . she said everything was completely different when she contacted her university to check the process and they sent emails to the embassy complaining why it takes all of this time since all the required documents are available ! And literally everything was over in less than working week and she received her visa.

بصى انا عايش فى بلجسكا وناس كتير حصلها كده وبيكون فى الغالب ورقك ناقص انا متصور انك جايه ل Kuleuven
الحامعه فى بينعا وبين وزارة الخارجيه علاقه قويه واحد صاحبى بعتلهم وقالهم الى حصل بعتوا للخارجيه والخوضوع خلص بسرعه بعدها
سورى رديت بالعربى بس مكانش ليا مزاح اكتب انجلش وانا مبصدق اتكلم عربى مع حد، انا عايش فى لوفن برضو
لو احتجتى اى مساعده كلمينى انا تحت امرك

It depends from one embassy to another, and actually from one officer to another, Ive applied with my friend at the same time for the same course, and Ive received it much earlier than him.
Contact the embassy just to make sure that there are no problems delaying your visa, glitches happen. Good luck

I remember in the last year, I applied in the Belgian embassy for a student Visa in August 15th and received it in October 5th. I think the processing time takes up to 3 months as they informed me.
You just have to be patient and you will get it soon do not worry. btw, it also depends on the documents you provided while applying. The most important one is the proof of financial solvency. Good luck and just be patient.
